Paul R ('sticks') - drums

After a misspent youth playing tuba and tympani in the school orchestra, along with piano and a flirtation with the euphonium in a brass band, Paul finally persuaded his Dad to allow him to buy a drum kit at the age of sixteen.

Despite being banned from playing when his father was home, Paul nevertheless moved on to a stint with a rock band and then the aptly named punk outfit Acne, with whom he reached the pinnacle of his fledgling career with a gig to a packed and highly appreciative audience at Southend United Football Club.

The ensuing twenty odd years were rather barren on the band front but Paul is now happily reincarnated as a serious blues stickman and enjoying every second.

Paul's main influences and drumming heroes are, in no particular order, Keith Moon and Buddy Rich but sadly, he doesn't sound like either of them.
