Blues, using electric amplification, emerged in the northern cities of the United
States (chiefly Chicago) as exemplified by Howlin' Wolf (Chester Burnett), Muddy
Waters (McKinley Morganfield) and John Lee Hooker'.
Jonathan
bought his first guitar from the proceeds of a summer job picking
hops for Guinness which to anyone who knows him will come as no
surprise. During the first Summer of Love, he formed Rasputin
and the Garbage who lived up to their name throughout their short
existence. Various music projects followed including a stint as
manager of Prism who appeared on New Faces and were beaten into
last place by the bloke who went on to be the teddy boy in Hi
Di Hi. For many years he has run Buffalo Lounge studios as a peripatetic
recording facility for his many musical acquaintances. He has
often been seen playing at gigs whether he has been invited to
or not. He is proud to be associated with the talented musicians
that comprise Urban Blues.
His
alter ego Vernon Grope chronicles the trials and tribulations of a stellar rock
